Family Fun Day Virtual Walk-a-thon
Walk 5km and help us reach our goal of $30,000.
The Parramatta Cumberland Family and Domestic Violence Prevention Committee (PCFDVC) will be hosting a virtual walk-a-thon to help raise crucial funds for the continuity of support which Parramatta Women’s Shelter provides to vulnerable women and children in crisis.
Statistics suggest that one in three women will experience physical violence within their lifetime. Sadly, violence against women and children is too commonplace within Australia, and it is the goals of the PCFDVC and Parramatta Women’s Shelter alike to erradicate this issue.
By participating in our virtual walk-a-thon, YOU can help Parramatta Women’s Shelter provide crisis accommodation and outreach support to women and children escaping domestic & family violence and homelessness, and get these women back on their feet and find long term stability within the community.
The virtual walk-a-thon date range will be from Sunday 1st August - Monday 1st November. You can register as an individual or in a team, and ask members of your community to donate and help us reach our goal of $30,000 for Parramatta Women’s Shelter.
